About the Site

EZMusicSearch.com was created to assist band directors with quickly locating music that is most appropriate for their students for contests, assessment, and festivals. For many years I have thought about trying to make the search for band contest/assessment and festival music easier and less stressful. When I first began teaching in the 1990's, directors would go to the local sheet music stores to look through UIL binders with conductor scores to select music for their bands. If we were lucky, there were recordings available in the stores so that we could listen while looking at the music. If you did not live near a major city, you would not even have this opportunity.

Now that conductor scores and recordings have become more common online, there is still a problem finding enough time to research dozens (if not more) of band pieces hoping to find something appropriate for your band. We hope that EZMusicSearch.com can make this process easier and more enjoyable for you.
